Who operates HorseCamp
HorseCamp is developed and operated by Pyoba LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. HorseCampFinder.com is the public website and data endpoint used by the HorseCamp mobile apps.
What HorseCamp collects
HorseCamp does not require an account. Standard app use does not ask for a username, password, personal email address, or payment information. HorseCamp does not operate a cloud account database for your horse records or trip plans.
| Data type | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Location | Used when permitted for nearby results, maps, weather, wildfire context, directions, and nearby equine services. HorseCamp does not maintain a location-history database. |
| Horse records and documents | Stored locally in app-specific device storage, subject to your device backup settings. Original document files are not uploaded to a HorseCamp document server. |
| Trip plans | Stored locally unless you choose to share a trip link. |
| Camp submissions and issue reports | Sent to HorseCamp's review service only when you submit them. |
| Analytics | HorseCamp does not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. |
| Crash diagnostics | Apple or Google platform diagnostic services may process crash information depending on your device settings. |
What the app connects to
HorseCamp uses network services to provide current travel information. Depending on the feature, the app may connect to HorseCampFinder.com, HorseCamp's review service, and public weather, wildfire, map, geocoding, and directions services. External websites or apps may also open when you choose to view campground websites, directions, phone numbers, email addresses, or shared trip links.
Location
If you grant location permission, HorseCamp can use your location for nearby campground results, map context, weather and wildfire context, directions-related features, and nearby equine services. You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.
Your horse documents
Coggins certificates, health certificates, brand inspection records, vaccination records, and other files you add are stored locally in app-specific storage. If you enable iCloud Backup, Android/Google device backup, or another device backup service, eligible app data may be backed up according to that service's settings.
Trip sharing
If you choose to share a trip, the shared link can include the trip name, origin, destination, departure date, planned stops, overnight camp stops, and route advisories included by the app. Anyone with the link can view the itinerary. HorseCamp does not create a user account when you share a trip.
No accounts, no sign-in
HorseCamp has no account system on iPhone or Android. If accounts, subscriptions, analytics, reviews, or cloud sync are added in the future, this policy will be updated before those features are shipped.
Children's privacy
HorseCamp is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party services
Apple, Google, device map services, public weather/wildfire/geographic services, and websites you choose to open are governed by their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If what HorseCamp collects or how app data is stored or shared changes, this policy and its effective date will be updated.
