๐Ÿ”’

Plain English summary: HorseCamp collects no personal data. We have no servers that receive your information. Everything you enter โ€” your name, your horses, your trips, your vet documents โ€” stays on your iPhone and never leaves it. We don't have accounts. We don't have a backend database with your records. There is nothing to breach.

What we collect

Nothing. HorseCamp does not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal information on any server we operate.

What the app does connect to

The app makes exactly two types of network requests:

We receive no information from either of these connections that identifies you in any way. An anonymous IP address making an HTTP GET request tells us nothing about who you are.

Your horse health documents

Coggins certificates, health certificates, brand inspection records, vaccination records, and any other documents you upload are stored exclusively in your iPhone's private app sandbox using iOS data protection encryption (NSFileProtectionComplete). This means:

No accounts, no sign-in

HorseCamp has no account system. You don't create a username or password. You don't give us an email address. There is no HorseCamp server that has a record of your existence as a user.

Children's privacy

HorseCamp does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, COPPA does not apply.

Third-party services

HorseCamp does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, social login, or any other third-party data services embedded in the app. The only third-party involvement is Apple's App Store and optional Apple crash reporting, both governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what data we collect โ€” for example, if we add an account system in a future version โ€” we will update this policy before shipping that version and the effective date at the top will reflect the change.
